What is 2-Step authentication?

At Clara, we prioritize your security. That’s why we’ve implemented two-factor authentication (2FA), to prevent your account from being at risk, and we ask that you activate it as soon as possible.

Two-factor authentication is a new security feature that, along with your password, protects your account. This feature works by generating a random authentication code, which only you can access through a two-factor authentication app.

With this new protection, when you log into your Clara account from a new device, you’ll need to enter both your password and the authentication code. This ensures that it’s you accessing your account and not someone else.

The authentication code will be provided by the two-factor authentication app you select. This code changes over time, so you’ll need to check it every time you log into your Clara account.

If you want to learn about the apps we recommend for this authentication process, you can check this article.

We’ve created a tutorial to show you how to activate it.

Your mobile app may also ask for the authentication code, here’s how it works:

  • If biometrics such as Face ID or fingerprint are enabled, you’ll only need to enter the code once. The code is the same one you use to log into your account on our Web Platform.
  • If biometrics are not enabled, you’ll need to enter it every time you log into your account on the App.
  • If you haven’t activated two-factor authentication, you need to follow the steps shown in the video.

For simplicity and to enhance the security of your account, we recommend activating biometrics.
